Vestry Meeting Minutes

£5 in hand from Jumble Sale

A meeting of the Parochial Church Council was held in the Parish Hall on Sat. July 2nd at 6.30 p.m. There were present the Rev. W.M. Tuke, vicar, in the chair. Mr Fritz Kingham & Mr S.G. Boswell, Church wardens, Mrs Boswell.

The minutes of last meeting were read & approved. Mr S.G. Boswell was unanimously elected Sec: of the Council. The vicar reported that at the P.C.C. of Horsenden, Mr Jaques & Mrs Boswell & Miss Gambell were appointed the representatives of the united Parish on the Ruri-decanal Conference. Mr Boswell was appointed the representative on the R.D. Board of Missions.

The churchwardens presented their accounts which showed a balance to the good of 4/9. The vicar presented the vouchers for collections for special objects. The accounts of the two parochial funds were reported as having been passed by the Charity Commissioners. The Balance in Ilmer Close fund being £44.12.11. arising out...

...of the minutes it was reported that the Church stove had been repaired & it was thought undesirable to proceed with the purchase of a new one. The vicar was authorised to secure an estimate for two Notice Boards for the Church from Mr Walker, Longwick, & an estimate for repairing & cleaning the Font to include damp resisting liquid from Mr Smith Haddenham.
