Parish Council Minutes

MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 10th NOVEMEBR 1975 AT LONGWICK C.E. COMBINED SCHOOL.

Present: Mr. W.G. Underwood (In the Chair), Mr. L.E. Metcalfe, Mr. H.C. Restall, Mr. T.G.T. Taylor, Mr. B.E. Thomas and Mr. J. Walker.

Minutes: The Minutes of the meeting held on Monday, 6th October 1975 which had been circulated, were agreed and signed.

Apologies: Apologies for absence were received from Mrs. D. Brock and Miss J.H.C. Couper. Mrs. Brock had sent a message thanking the Council for their good wishes and also for the box of fruit sent to her during her convalescence.

Matters arising from the Minutes: (a) Bridleway, Manor Farm, Ilmer. It was agreed that the Bursar of Eton College should be informed of the Council's intention to approach Mr. Mullan informally to see if he would reinstate the bridleway.

(b) Charities Committee. Since the date of the last meeting Mr. Restall had agreed to act as the Council's Trustee on the Princes Risborough Charities.

(c) Conservation Areas. It was reported that the Planning Officer has confirmed that Meadle village was already on the list of areas which will be designated as Conservation Areas, and when staff time permitted work on this particular village would be put in hand. This was not likely to be within the next twelve months as work on the local plans had to be given first priority, but as soon as the present programme of work had been completed, the section would be concentrating on conservation area work.

(d) Bell Crescent. Upon approaching J. Needham (Builders) Ltd. with regard to clearing the land at the corner of Bell Crescent, the following reply had been received: "I understand that this matter is at present being handled by Wycombe District Council and our Solicitors. I would like to point out however that I understand that we have only got breeze blocks and concrete lintels outside our shed and I fail to understand how these can be a health hazard. We certainly did not bring the rats, these must have come from the surrounding area. If there is any other mess on the site, I assume the local residents have caused it." A copy of this letter had been sent to the Planning Officer of Wycombe District Council tosee if they could liaise with the Parish Council in any way to get action in this matter.

Planning Applications: The following applications for planning had been received since the date of the last meeting: W/2760/75 Extension to form new sitting room and kitchen conversion at Elm Dene, Little Horsenden. No comments. W/2761/75 Erection of Garage at The Bungalow, Longwick Road. No comments. W/2766/75 Extension to form sitting room and two bedrooms at The Shoulder of Mutton Inn, Owlswick. No comments. W/2772/75 Proposed Office and Store at Green Close Works, Longwick. The Parish Council had no objection in principle to this application. However, they were concerned about the continual growth on this site. They felt it was a limited site for the expansion it was seeing.
