Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

The Annual Parish Meeting was held in the Parish Room, Illmire on Monday March 31st 1930 at 6.30 pm.

To appoint a Chairman for the ensuing year.
To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting.
To pass accounts.
To consider repairing Parish Cottages.
Any other business.

Present. Mr. Albert Goodchild (Chairman) Revd A. M. Berry, Messrs George Gomme. Geoffrey B. Quint and Robert Bailey (Clerk)

Chairman Agreed that Mr. Albert Goodchild be re-appointed Chairman for the ensuing year.

Confirmation of Minutes Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.

Passing of accounts The Clerk presented the accounts of the Parish Meeting for the year ending March 31st 1930. Proposed by the Revd Berry seconded by Mr. George Gomme that they be passed as correct. Total Receipts £9/7/8 Total payments £6/19/3 leaving a Balance of £2/8/5. Carried

Parish Cottages and repairs The question of repairing the Parish Cottages was considered and the Clerk authorised to ascertain if a grant could be obtained from the Government towards cost of repairs, and if a grant could be obtained that another Parish meeting be called to further consider the matter.

Ditches It was agreed that the Clerk should communicate with Mr. R. Moger of Manor Farm, Illmire, respecting the cleaning out of the ditches down the lane leading to Cold Harbour Farm and at the bottom of Robinsons meadow.
