Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

1929 The Annual Parish Meeting was held at the Parish Room, Illmire, on Thursday February 28th 1929 at 7.30 pm.

To appoint a Chairman for the ensuing year.
To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting.
Nomination of Parish Constables.
To pass accounts.
Any other business.

Present:- Messrs Albert Goodchild (Chairman). George Gomme. Wm Joseph Harper and the Clerk (Mr Robert Bailey)

Chairman Proposed by Mr Wm Joseph Harper seconded by Mr George Gomme, that Mr Albert Goodchild be re-appointed Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried

Minutes Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.

Parish Constables Proposed by Mr. Wm J. Harper seconded by Mr George Gomme that Messrs Edward Albert Goodchild and Harry Goodchild be nominated to serve as Parish Constables for the ensuing year. Carried

Accounts Proposed by Mr George Gomme seconded by Mr Wm Joseph Harper that the accounts as paid by the Treasurer to date be passed as correct:- Half year Rates to Sept 30th 1928. 18/10. Audit Stamps 1926/7 1927/8 5/- each = 10/-. Fire Insurance on Cottages 15/-. Sch A Tax 1928/9 £1/1/0 and that the Treasurer be authorised to pay the following accounts as soon as the March Rents have been received:- (Rates half year ending March 31st 1929 £1/16/9. Robert Bailey, One Year remuneration as Clerk to March 31st 1929 £1/1/-. Carried

Stiles needing repairs As the stiles over the meadows leading from Cold Harbour Farm to Bledlow had not yet been repaired, the Clerk was asked to write again to Messrs Burrows and Bradfield on the matter.

Open Gutters each side of Illmire Road The Clerk was instructed to write to the Wycombe Rural District Council asking them to have the gutters on either side of the road leading to Illmire, piped and covered in, so as to allow two vehicles to pass each other in safety.
